Giuseppe Chigiotti graduated from the University of Florence with a thesis on the
historical 'Royal Park of the Reggia di
Caserta', near Naples.
That was where his academic career began before he later became an associate Professor at the Politecnico di Milano.
He has given lessons and held conferences in Italy and abroad and has been on the committees of various competitions and awards.
He combines his research and teaching work with his professional activities in architecture and industrial design.
He has: authored essays and books on architecture and design; is the curator of the 'Museum of Design 1880/1980' in Milano; has had the quality of his professional work recognised by being nominated honorary inspector of architectural and landscape patrimony.
He has been chairman of the Cultural Foundation of Grosseto.
After establishing his first studio in Florence, since 2004 he has been working out of his design studio - 'Giuseppe Chigiotti Ltd' - which has offices in both his home town of Grosseto in Tuscany, and in Milano.
